I was looking for some Advanced options to use with Vmware HA and DRS. Here is a list:

HA:

  • das.failuredetectiontime – Timeout time for isolation response actions in ms 
  • das.isolationaddress – IPAddress 1 that an ESX host uses for HA heartbeat
  • das.isolationaddress2 – IPAddress 2  that an ESX host uses for HA heartbeat
  • das.poweroffonisolation – False or true - Should VM’s power down or not? 
  • das.vmMemoryMinMB – Higher values will reserve more space for failovers.
  • das.vmCpuMinMHz - Higher values will reserve more space for failovers.
  • das.defaultfailoverhost – Hostname from first-choice failover host
  • das.bypassNetCompatCheck – Disable the “compatible network” check for HA that was introduced with Update 2. Default value is “false”, setting it to “true” disables the check
  • das.allowNetworkx – Enables the use of port group names to control the networks used for VMware HA, where [x] = 0 – ?.

    DRS:

  • DumpSpace - This is the size in MBs of the %TMP%\vpx\drmdump\cluster#\Control log directory (default: 20MB)
